"Helping our homes become the safe spaces they were meant to be."

"Helping our homes become the safe spaces they were meant to be."

You can love the people closest to you and still feel hurt, misunderstood, or unsure how to reach them. Perhaps the same arguments keep coming back, old wounds shape present-day conversations, or the home you’re building feels different from what you hoped.

I help couples and families understand what keeps them stuck and practice more connected ways of relating. Together, we’ll explore what happens beneath the conflict, make room for each person’s needs, and work toward clearer boundaries and greater understanding.

Who I work with

My practice centers on dating, engaged, and married couples; adult siblings; parents and adult children; and parents raising young families. Whether you’re preparing for marriage, navigating a difficult transition, or hoping to change patterns passed down through generations, we’ll shape our work around your relationships and goals.

I provide virtual therapy throughout North Carolina, with in-person appointments available in Fayetteville, NC, by request.

What our work can look like

Our sessions offer space to understand your experiences and practice changes you can carry into everyday life. We may work on expressing needs without escalating conflict, recognizing when emotions become overwhelming, repairing hurt, or strengthening friendship and connection.

I have completed Level 1 and Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. My approach also draws from narrative, emotion-focused, and structural therapies, with EMDR incorporated when appropriate.

My background

I have provided premarital counseling since 2014 and have more than a decade of experience supporting young adults within faith communities in the United States and abroad. My clinical experience includes helping children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, divorce, and other life transitions.

I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University (now National University), where I was recognized as a President’s Merit Scholar. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-Associate and a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Through the Minority Fellowship Program for Youth, I received additional training in trauma-informed care, cultural competency, and EMDR.

Faith, if you choose

As a Seventh-day Adventist Christian, I understand how faith can shape relationships, family life, and identity. Therapy and faith aren’t mutually exclusive. If you desire a Bible-centered therapeutic experience, I welcome incorporating Christian faith and biblical perspectives into our work together.

Clients of all faiths and no faith are welcome. Faith integration is always optional.

Let’s see if we’re a good fit.
